Cultivating Workplaces of Belonging
Belonging – it's the reason why I started my business, and it's the driving force behind why I've dedicated my career to inspiring others to open their hearts and minds to new people, ideas, and experiences. Embracing my purpose has empowered me to spend the best waking hours of my day helping leaders cultivate a sense of belonging for tens of thousands of employees across a variety of sectors. This work continues to positively impact so many people's 9-5 experiences.
In the early days of my career, belonging at work felt elusive. I entered the workforce in 2002. This was a period where I was early in my gender transition. Looking back on my workplace experiences, I was pretty lucky to even have a job considering the significant employment barriers that so many of my fellow transgender & non-binary family members still endure. Despite the challenges I overcame in the early days of my career, in my heart I knew they offered great lessons that I could later share with the world.
Now, I have the privilege of helping senior executives cultivate workplace cultures of belonging for underrepresented employees who struggle with feeling valued, respected, and rewarded for the contributions they make every day. I'm also helping entrepreneurs, and those on their way to joining them, build the workplace cultures they have dreamed of creating. It's an honor to offer coaching and weekly mentorship to fellow visionaries working to build a better world.
As an ongoing promise to you, I remain committed to offering strategies, relevant content, and opportunities to help cultivate a sense of belonging within your workplace. The following items offer just a flavor of the rich content you can access on my firm's blog, podcast, and at live events:
